1. Using your browser, go to Sun's Java website, java.sun.com

2. On the right side of the page click on the "Get Java Software" button.

3. A new window will appear. Click on the "Download Now" link.

4. On the next page click on the "Begin Download" link.

5. Click "Yes" when the dialog box comes up.

6. Another box will appear asking you for Typical Setup or Custom Setup. Chose Typical Setup and click Next.

7. Uncheck the checkboxes for the Google Toolbar and the Google Desktop.

8. Wait while the software installs. You will see a blue bar moving across the screen in a dialog box. It may take a few minutes.

9. Click Finish.

10. Restart your computer.
